To upgrade, delete the previous WP Ad Center folder in your plugins directory and upload the new one. Deactivate and Reactivate the plugin as it needs to create some extra tables. It will keep all your existing campaign information.

Fixes in this version are mainly for fixing issues with the latest version of WordPress – javascript fixes and fixes for the statistics graph as this had stopped displaying in the latest version of WordPress.

Fixes in this update are mainly to how the javascript files are handled and the plugin now uses the version of jQuery that is included with WordPress – hopefully this will cut down on some of the theme and plugin compatibility problems some people have been having.

Changes made are as follows :

  • Fixed problem with graphs sometimes disappearing
  • Fixed problem with widgets sometimes not saving
  • Fixed currency on signup page (always displayed USD, now shows currency selected)
  • Added advertiser’s name and campaign name to charts
  • Added a blank “Advertise Here” banner (activate this on Ad Zone page)
  • Improved advertiser management – they can now re-purchase adverts when logged in

I run the blog about WordPress, WPLift.com and needed a good plugin to help manage certain aspects of the site but I wasn’t happy with the plugins that were available so decided to create my own. I feel that we have acomplished our goals for the plugin and it has been tested in a live environment, serving hundreds of thousands of ad-views over a few months.

We are dedicated to improving the plugin so would love to hear any feedback about the functionality and ideas for future feature additions.
